TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.     PROMOTER: This prize draw is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited, a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, Registered No 26715R with registered office at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. References to “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms and conditions are references to the promoter.  

2.     OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This prize draw opens at 08:00 04/03/2024 and closes at 23:59 23/03/2024. Any entries made before the opening date or after the closing date will not be valid and will not be entered into this prize draw.  

3.     ELIGIBILITY: This prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom only who are employees of The Co-operative Group and its subsidiaries only. Entrants must be over 18. Co-op employees from its group undertakings and employees of its agencies directly connected with the creation and administration of this prize draw are excluded. Each nominated community member must not be yourself, or a member of your family and will be checked for eligibility at the time of draw. We may ask the winners to provide proof of age.  

4.     HOW TO ENTER: All entrants must enter by filling in their submission form available at coopcompetitions.co.uk/cooplive. Each submission requires a nominated community member to be eligible, who must be a member of the community that has done something that benefits the community, e.g.  your neighbour, kids local football coach or a friendly local business owner - a person who makes the community smile and they make a difference to your, or your community’s, daily life. A nominated community member cannot be yourself or a member of your family.  

Each winning nominated community member will be checked for eligibility at the time of draw. We reserve the right to withdraw any applicants at any time for entries that are not valid or, in our sole discretion believe, may damage the reputation of the Co-op and any of its subsidiaries. By entering you confirm you have received consent from the community member you nominate to share their personal data with us. 

As part of your entry, you warrant that you will not submit any material which in any way infringes the rights of a third party, or which infringes any applicable laws. 

5.     PRIZES: There are in total 122 prize packages to be offered. Each Co-operative Group Limited business area has been allocated a specific number of Prizes, as detailed in Clause 20 (Allocation of Prizes) below, to ensure fair distribution of prizes. 

Each prize consists of:  

  • 2 x General Admission Tickets for a Co-op Live ‘Gig’, for the prize winner 

  • 2 x General Admission Tickets for a Co-op Live ‘Gig’, for the prize winners nominated community member 

  • A contribution to travel for the prize winner, supplied as an Inspire Travel Giftcard 

  • A contribution to travel for the prize winners nominated community member, supplied as an Inspire Travel Giftcard 

Travel contributions will be tiered: 

  • If you live in a Greater Manchester Post-Code you will receive a £50 Travel Voucher 

  • If you live in a Non-Greater Manchester Post Code and within 100 miles radius (as the crow flies) of M11 3DL you will receive a £100 Travel Voucher 

  • If you live outside of a 100 miles radius (as the crow flies) of M11 3DL you will receive a £150 Travel Voucher 

Travel contributions will be awarded to winners and their nominated recipients in the form of a pre-paid travel voucher that can be redeemed on the National Rail network or with National Express Coaches. 

Prizes are not exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative can be requested. Prizes are provided at our discretion and the Promoter may substitute or change the prize for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so. 

6.     WINNER SELECTION: Each of the business areas will have the specified number of winners as detailed in Clause 20 below. Each business area winners will be drawn at random within five(5) working days of the end of the prize draw by the ISG Live using a randomised computer process. The entry nomination of each selected winner will be verified at the time of draw.  

7.     NOTIFICATION: If you win, you will be notified by email from ISG Live who are managing the competition on behalf of The Co-op, using the email address you provided when entering the competition. If a winner does not respond to us within five (5) days of being notified by ISG Live, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and another winner will be picked at random from the remaining eligible entries in accordance with the process described above in clause 6.  

8.     DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any entry or any other aspect of the prize draw, this will be decided at our sole discretion. Our decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about the decision. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this prize draw due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control. 

9.     WINNER LIST: Winner‘s Surnames and respective counties of residence can be obtained by sending an email to cooplive@isglive.com within 14 days after the closing date of the prize draw.  

10.  AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this prize draw shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the prize draw. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. 

11.  DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold the prizes and disqualify you from the prize draw if we suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third-parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid. 

12.  NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENTRIES NOT RECEIVED: The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or delayed entries, such entries will be void. The Promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the entry route.  We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.  

13.  USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PRIZE DRAW: We, other members of the Co-operative Group and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws. Except as set out in clause 14 below, we and other members of the Co-operative Group will only use your information for the purposes of administering this prize draw.  

14.  USE OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES: By entering this prize draw, you agree that if you win we, other members of the Co-operative Group and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf may use your entry, name, photo or image, captured video content, county of residence and any testimonial you have provided to us, for promotional purposes (including but not limited to,  on our websites, social media, PR, within our magazines or within promotional emails). 15.  CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PRIZE DRAW: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this prize draw without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.  

16.  CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at coop.co.uk/membership. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.  

17.   LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prizes are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the Promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury suffered as a direct result of the provision or use of the Prizes. The Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of its negligence. 

18.  RELEVANT LAW: This prize draw and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England if any dispute arises.  

19.   GENERAL: The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the prize draw will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations.  We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.   

20.   ALLOCATION OF PRIZES: 

A minimum of 122 prize packages will be awarded, with a business area allocation as below:
